I can relate very well with your question, because I am calm and introverted(or ambiverted). At times, I am referred to as a pastor too. Children also call me that too, even though I am not one. Whenever, I get uncomfortable with people calling me a pastor, I used to remind myself that I am a Christian and heaven is my goal. With this thought, I no longer get uncomfortable.

So,I just want to know,if anyone has ever had a similar experience in the past......That the moment people notice you're a calm and gentle person,they immediately tag you as a pastor or a religious personnel? Even without asking you first?

There are several reasons for this. One of the most annoying one is because many people are hypocrites. They need someone to crucify and/or help justify their wrong.

The day you commit a small crime that they are serially guilty of, your story go spread like wildfire during Harmattan.

I always beware of such people and sometimes even give them equivalent names also.

Na so dem dey call me pastor that year because of my cool, calm and shy nature. Omo, as i enter college of Education na so i change my mentality and become werey for school o, when i come enter Uniben, I come cool down small again make men no reason my matter for EKOSODIN wey i stay for 3yrs. For me I don't see calm and gentle persons as pastor because there are so many reasons for calmness and gentility.
1. Some are calm and gentle because of life lessons, these were forced to be calm because of situations.
2. Others use calmness and gentility as a strategy to hide their real characters.
3. Some are calm because of their social status, these set of people have managers that help them to behave calmly and gentle.
Calmness and gentility is not a criteria for me to rate you as a pastor...Not all that glitters are gold!!!

My brother, it happens to me a lot. And the funny thing is that I'm not even religious. I can't even bring girls home anymore because my neighbours will be disappointed that pastor is womanizing. Mehn, I am tired.

I can perfectly relate. In my own case, they tagged me, Alfa, even total strangers I got to meet for the first time are fond of tagging such titled on me, which mostly do get me pissed that I had to explicitly tell some not to call me such. I'm not even religiously or Islamically knowledgeable to deserve such title, all due to my acts and softlook. Moreso, my introverted nature.
Though it has saved me some couple of times where people defended me in my absent when crimes occurred, even when normally, I was also a suspect as per police investigation, but was defended that, I'm the last person to have been the culprit, that I shouldn't be bother and they should focus their investigation somewhere else.
I do stay away from trouble and mostly do mind my business.
