It seems the new World TV is giving Multi choice a run for their money. World TV also have free to air in Togo and most French speaking countries. By the time they enter Nigeria market, Multi choice inflated priced subscription would be a major factor to leave the cable TV. So, guy do you think this new cable TV can wrestle multi choice from the Nigeria market?

Multichoice owned SuperSport TV has announced it will not broadcast the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after losing rights to New World TV

WHAT HAPPENED
SuperSport TV has announced that they will not be broadcasting the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Ivory Coast between January and February. This comes after they lost the bid to a Togo-based broadcaster.

The Multichoice-owned sports network has been one of the most reliable and regular broadcaster of all African competitions over the years, but of late, they have shown less appetite in displaying Caf competitions.

SuperSport were not keen on showing the newly launched African Football League where South African based side Mamelodi Sundowns claimed the inaugural crown.

Pay tv is beyond football championship broadcasting rights. I wonder when Nigerians will get this! 😒 Multichoice will still remain in business because they have been able to develop other content to keep subscribers engaged.
