SeeWahala:
Chai. Does this mean all those other states that the south east tops in schooling and waec matters are all filled with 80% olodos who can't read nor write in class?

Because we all know that the south east is far more literate than they are undecided

This statistic if true spells doom for the rest of the country (except if no be statistics we go chop) grin

Edit

To all those quoting me please remind me where that place called OLUWOLE was situated in those days . . . undecided

Hmmmm......I'm Yoruba, but I'm not even bothered by your words. They're typical on NL these days.

Somehow you're ignoring the fact that the man who made these statements, Prof Chidi Onyia, a man I know and respect from my days working with him on the NIAF projects, is an Ibo man, who has nothing to gain by dragging his own state in the mud.

However, his call is for an improvement, and I'm sure it will come.

That being said, Prof's standards are quite high. I wonder what he'll say if he went to Zamfara?

I am from the middle belt and I live in Abuja and I have seen a lot of my northern brothers who hold first degree certificates and can't express themselves coherently in easy to speak English language, our educational institutions in the in a bid to catch up with the south have watered down basic education standards, even the so called educational advantage of the south west seems to have been eroded in recent years too, it's a serious national crisis whenever you lament about the falling standards and what people will say will be who school help,

Miraculously they top WAEC. Igbo man keeps deceiving himself. He neglects the truth and chases shadow.

But why most yorubas in this forum don't have sense?

Because Enugu pupils made the news they are here yarning rubbish. Am sure that those Enugu pupils will still beat S.W states in any school competition.

Some have made it Igbo thing while in reality Igbos are still smarter than them academically.

Loud mouth

Are you more brilliant than Igbos in your street?

I can bet my last card that if survey or competition is carried out between those Enugu students and Osun students they will still beat you.

Igbos are not intelligent yet their students keep dominating in your region.

If they release best performance after WAEC in SW schools, Igbo names will full there.

If your institutions release best students, you will be hearing/seeing Igbo names.

Tell yourself the truth, they are smarter than you.

Being curny is different from smartness. Let your curny behavior don't deceive you thinking that you're smarter or more intelligent than Igbos

We hope ronu states that are coming to feast on this have Up to 10% literacy.

You can't even live without involving Yorubas! You are the first to comment but the first thing to do is to drag us into a news that wholly concerns you. You are quick to defend news that dont work to your advantage with issues of other but will masturbate on issues that concerns others. When will you start being responsible for anything

An army of ipob recruits.. This is very appalling to say the least. 50% is no joke, that's half the entire primary kids in the state. Why bother about school anyways, when after primary school, some uncles in the cities come to the village, pick them up to serve in their shops in Lagos and other states. Would you imagine how many of these kids that might have left their parents at the requests of these uncles & aunties coming back to the cities this early January?.

They have actually pressed your button and you have started mis yearning. If Enugu is 50%, then know it that your olodo state is 80 %
Oya I have Pressed your Button again. Keep ranting.

It's becoming a widespread malady across the country, not just in Enugu state. One vital issue there is the willingness and zeal on the part of the concerned students,to improve their intellectual capacity. Some of such students are not ready to develop intellectually and show lacklustre interest in doing so.The parents and teachers have a vital role here in ensuring that no effort is spared in improving the child's intellectual capacity.
