Hello nairalanders.
I was outside at dawn today. Around 5:30am.
I heard the sound of bird and I went to check what bird it was. It was an owl. It perched on an electric pole, but was facing the opposite direction. Suddenly it started turning its head until it made a complete 180 degrees turn and then saw me. We stared at each other for some time and then it flew away.

I see owls fly all the time since I was a child and it was nothing to me. This is my first time and I want to know if anyone has had similar experience and what happened afterwards.

I have read from other sources that it has some spiritual meanings to it.

They are just birds with a spooky stare due to their wide faces, dark eyes,sharp beaks and 360 degree head turn capability which makes it seem like they are staring at your soul.

They are also nocturnal. It was prolly wondering why the hell is a 'hooman' staring at me by this time when the 'hooman' should be asleep like all this kind. Is he a mudafucker?


N.B: Some people hold some supernatural significance to an owl's presence. I don't. I like them. They coo at me and I coo at them too

Most companies haven't resumed this new year. A lot of people who went on Christmas break don't know that is their permanent break from work. Companies are struggling in this economy.

There is no superstitious belief about owl even though sometimes they can be used for malicious activities.

You are right. No superstitious belief.
Witches and wizards can transform to any animal depending on the power they poessess to carry out their activities.
Owls, bats, rats, cockroaches, cats function well in the dark that's why they transform into these animals mostly as their activities are mostly in the dark.

I noticed night birds(maybe bats) coming to my window almost every night. But when I started praying against monitoring spirits, they stopped coming.
Could this be a coincidence?
