Snapchat's own chatbot is coming

Photo sharing app Snapchat is launching its own chatbot based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This chatbot will run on OpenAI's ChatGPT technology. It is named 'My AI'. The chatbot will use the latest version of GPT technology, customized just for Snapchat. Snap, the parent company of the app, is planning to launch this experimental feature for Snapchat customers for now.

In an official blog post on Monday, Snap Inc. announced the launch of its AI-based experimental chatbot. 'My AI' will be launched this week. Its use will be limited to users who are currently subscribers. But it may be opened for everyone in the future. However, the company has not given any indication in this regard. However, the platform has requested user feedback for future development of the chatbot for the Snapchat app.

And about the chatbot's mistakes, Snap has clarified that 'My AI' can make mistakes in the early stages. However, the company aims to avoid any kind of biased, incorrect, harmful or misleading information in this chatbot. Because, like Microsoft's ChatGPT or Google's Bird, My AIO can fall into the clutches of unwanted information searches.

The company also said that all conversations will be saved for the review of this experimental chatbot. Based on this review and user feedback, more changes will be made to the chatbot in the future. Apart from this, the company has requested users to avoid sharing confidential and personal information in AI-based chatbots.

Incidentally, Meta announced last week a research program called LLAMA, or Llama, to develop AI-based chatbots and other products.

The company plans to open it up to AI researchers soon. Although currently it is not available on Meta proprietary apps WhatsApp and Facebook.
