As seen in the case of Amarachi (may her soul rest in peace and may God comfort her family), banking marketing job is a mentally demanding job. A lot of unspeakable things happen in banking.

In the suicide note circulated, she says: MY FIGURES ARE LOW. Point number 2 out of about 8.

Even if the pressure of performance in marketing as a staff of the bank was not the only reason for her decision to give up, this sure contributed greatly. She wrote it as point number 2.

There's so much to say. But sorry to say, Bankers need better working conditions. And banks need to care more about their staff. Especially their mental health. Especially these newly licenced LTD banks.

And Nigeria has little to no labour laws to protect employees. Also, especially newer banks, the pressure is so much on marketing staff.

There's one of the banks that won't allow you resume until you bring COVENANT DEPOSIT. And another one, once you tell them you have health concerns, they will start planning your replacement immediately. They don't care about you.

I hope that lady didn't commit suicide immediately after an MPR session in GB.
