AYUBA CONGRATULATES AMINAT IGE, UNILAG BEST DOCTORATE THESIS GRADUATING STUDENT[b][/b][color=#000099][/color]

The member of the House of Representatives, representing Alimosho Federal constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, Esq. (Mayor K.K.), has congratulated Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Ige Aminat Olawunmi, Ph.D., for winning the prize for the overall best Ph.D. doctoral thesis at the University of Lagos.

Ayuba, in a statement made available to his media centre on Wednesday, January 12, 2024, said, "I am thrilled by the outstanding performance of Dr. Aminat Ige Olawunmi, who hails from the same hometown as me, Akesan in Alimosho Federal Constituency, Lagos State. This is commendable and worthy of emulation."

"You have, by your hard work, consistency, and outstanding academic excellence, brought honour to our constituency, Lagos State, and Nigeria."

According to the report from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), this year, 155 graduates will be awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in various disciplines. The overall best Ph.D. thesis award for this year, which is also the best PhD in the sciences, goes to Aminat Olawunmi Ige, with a Ph.D. in mathematics.

Dr. Aminat is an Akesan-Awori-born Lagosian; she holds the chieftancy title of Yeye Oge of Akesan Kingdom and is also a lecturer in the Mathematics Department of Lagos State University (LASU).
