President Bola Tinubu is expected to attend the second swearing-in ceremony of Imo state governor, Hope Uzodimma, which is set to take place on Monday, January 15, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

It was gathered that President Tinubu who will be accompanied by some officials and members of the National Assembly is expected to commission some projects in the state.

The president will commission the redesigned Airport Road which is dualised from two lanes to four lanes with side lightening from Owerri-Aba Road to the Airport including brand new Twin Tollgate.

The event is anticipated to attract also political and business heavyweights from Nigeria, with many prominent individuals expressing their interest in attending.

Governor Uzodimma, who was declared the winner of the November 11th election by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), is set to be inaugurated following his victory in all 27 local government areas of the state.

The entire state is in a celebratory mood, and the capital city of Owerri is being prepared for the event. Adequate security measures have been put in place, and steps have been taken to manage the expected crowd.

The inauguration will be preceded by a thanksgiving mass and followed by a state banquet at the Government House in Owerri.

The ceremony is being organized by a committee chaired by Senator Chris Anyanwu and co-chaired by Chief Cosmas Iwu, with the aim of ensuring a seamless and hitch-free event.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba said dignitaries across the country have been invited to the event, while supporters from across the 27 local government areas are also expected at the ceremony.

“It will be a momentous event as Imo people are joyously awaiting the ceremony. We are working hard on crowd control because our supporters across the 27 local government areas are all eager to attend the ceremony, ” Emelumba added.

Meet Governor Hope Uzodinma - the only governor who invites the president to commission every kilometre of road completed.

In the end, he will spend more money to host and entertain the president than he would tackling the problem of his people. I thought this madness ended with Buhari.

This is what happens when a politician cannot differentiate between politics and development.

It is like the parable of the lost sheep. It is one state they know they ought not have - they lost it fair and square but managed to steal it from PDP in broad day light - from 4th place!

In the history of Nigeria, this never happens.

Serious politicians use their first tenure to work to convince the people that he deserves re-election. Once reelected, they go on a looting spree.

For Hope Uzodinma, he wasn't even serious in the first tenure. He's the worst governor in Nigeria.
