Peter Obi's Message On Armed Forces Remembrance Day. by naptu2: 11:38am On Jan 15
Peter Obi @PeterObi.

On this Armed Forces Remembrance Day, I join other Nigerians in appreciating our military men who, in order to ensure peace and security within our borders, are willing to pay untold sacrifices.

Today, we encourage them to remain resolute in their resolve to conquer the ugly monster of insecurity currently ravaging our dear nation. We remember especially our fallen heroes who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while defending the peace, unity and territorial integrity of our dear nation. We appreciate and honour them for their heroic deeds, while showing love and support to their bereaved families. Great nations are built by rulers, citizens and the protectors of freedom - the military.

Our story as a nation, therefore, will not be complete, without their courageous sacrifices which takes them away from the comfort of their homes and the embrace of their loved ones.

With the country going through very challenging times in its war against terrorism, violence, crime and all manner of insecurity, we show our support and solidarity to our military men, and urge them not to be despirited, even when they feel overstretched by the war.

May this day renew their love, zeal, and courage to remain firm in their struggles for a peaceful and crime-free Nigeria. May we the leaders, ensure that the welfare of our armed forces and their families, are well taken care of, as they graciously serve our nation. -PO

If I remember how I suffered from tribalism in the military years back I still don't know what to think about the armed forces.
My friend had to flee and Japa abroad following a sudden deployment to Sambisa where terrorists have better information about your movement than you know about your next operation 🙄

Tinubu needs to overhaul the current military which has been skewed to protect certain interests if he wants to destroy banditry.
He needs to engage foreign mercenaries while giving his commanders time to rejig the command and control which is currently ethnically biased.

People from South South and South East have been so badly treated for years in the military that they don't bother asking their people to enlist in the military so their slots are taking up by a particularl tribe, if he does a roll call he will be shocked that he is paying salaries and creating employment for mostly 2 ethnic groups in the using the military as conduit.
What that Army girl said on Tiktok is a tip of the iceberg.

They are so brazen that even Lagos State slot was shared among themselves and we have heard nothing new about it.
Many people like us who have had a stint in the military are not proud of it in all sincerity except those who are unpatriotic and just there to loot.

The Social Media President.

Absolutely! Who advises this man. There can be only one President at a TIME. Reacting and commenting on every issue is not the best. You never heard Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Rt Hon Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe reacting. to every issue as opposition politicians in the Second Republic. President Tinubu was equally silent in those days after he served his 2 terms. I always knew Obi is immature, a kindagartteen who doesn't have the mental capacity to be President of Nigeria. He should keep quite and be strategic in his communication. Her can't outshine a sitting President in terms of communication and visibiity.
