Lol.
Ok.
Nice.

But i want to ask. Which from the three(creche, Kg, nursery) will u advise a parent to start a child from?

To me, i will skip the creche part. I will also skip the Kg part. But am afriad of dat Kg aspect. I fear if i skip Kg, it will affect the child.
kernniejay:
If i tell u wot dey do in creche u will laugh. They actually play cartoon for dem on TV, feed them wen its time, change their diapers, sing and play with dem and monitor dem wen dey sleep. creche is not compulsory, it's for busy or career parents.

Starting from Nursery is better, it is actually where learning begins. For me, those prior stages are mere play group.

I thought my kids like a teacher until 5yrs then he enters primary one, and he's above everyone else, even the teachers said he can pass primary 4 exams. now he's in primary 2 at 6yrs. Please teach them at home first before school.
Of all ,this is my take ...old-school style ,nursery ,primary ,sec, university.
Creche , kindergarten are waste of fund .
Being a tutor ,I won't hesitate to teach my children till 3 to prepare them for primary school . You just boosted my moral with this. Thanks .

What happens before the child is 7?
They allow them to play and get understand life, environment and friendship in their own way before they are indoctrinated into school life.

Infact, for the first year in school they don't teach them anything serious, they play with various prototypes of shapes, colors, materials, instruments. After your first year, when they tell you this is a cone, even olodo cannot forget becuse u've been playing with it for a year.

Their assignments are also very minimal and they don't stay long in school hours. They don't work with positions, they work in teams. They learn the right way.

They are currently doing better than any other country in terms of education. Other countries are going there to learn their methods.

Ask yourself this question

During your time, did your dad send you to KG or Creche, and does that makes you less intelligent.

Even in the absence of all that we still have intelligent kids that came out with First class, many of them.

If you can afford going through KG and Creche before Nursery then no issue, but if you can't start with nursery

I don't do well with blind argument...go online and get yourself educated

Infact a documentary was done on Finish educational system. Look it up on YouTube.

Enjoy your day

That's BS
No competition or merit system... 🤣🤣🤣
So both 3rd class and 1st class na mates?
... There's nothing admirable in the finnish system of education otherwise trust me "if truly it's the best", the entire world will adopt their system.

This is a big issue. I saw one this week. Looks like a six month old baby. I shout say this one too don start school? With uniform o..

As I was taking them rhymes, he didn't even mind me and was just pacing up and down the classroom. I said what are parents looking for bikonu? This one that should still be sucking breast, they carry uniform hang for him neck. Though what I like about him is that he didn't cry or disturb as long as we didn't give him any task to do. cheesy grin lol..

The right age should be 4 but schools admit a year+ and 2 years old cos I remember when working as a full timer, all my pupils celebrated their 2nd birthday in kg 1 and as we were moving to kg2 they were already 2. I moved with them because parents say na me must handle their ward in the next class o. Na run I run that ebola period grin

Most of them dey secondary school now. Chai my babies.

Nigerians just have this mentality that if their kid don't start school within a year, it's lack of money.

Let's be frank, a 2 years child have no business in school. It's total wastage.

Best is home school them. Parents nowadays prioritize money over their kids. Imagine a child of 1 year is already a burden they have to dump in school. No time to bond with them

3 is fine,Nigeria we try to rush education for our kids without having to wait for their brains to develop well and have good intelligence.

That's why you see a 14 years old child in ss3 with no emotional intelligence, got admission into the university and misuses his brain to do bad and not good. I love the UK style, a child won't get into a class if he/she hasn't reach the expected age meant for the class.
That's how it is in USA onless the child is exceptionally brilliant then they are moved to the the class their brain can carry.

My first child, a son, started with "Baby class" when he was around 2 years because of how busy we the parents were at work. That really helped his IQ and made him a fast learner because when he gets home, he began to recite ABC and 123 that he was hearing from the older children class. Today, he is very brilliant and sharp.
I know most parents these dumps their kids in school early because they're busy making money.

Your child would have still been able to recite those things you listed there at home, you teach him/her

very serious...why i said 6 months in Nigeria is because most women are working class women, so they need to resume work except for some or the few that have nannies or people to take care of the baby for them...if not,, the child have to start daycare on time..

While in canada...them no send u ooo...ur child have to be five before the admitt him or her....that is why care giving job is very lucrative abroad....u will always need them

I agree that at 2 a child is too young to be in school but I don`t agree that you have no time to bond with them if they, for example, are in a creche. Many kids enjoy playing in small groups with other kids and learn a lot by doing so, not in terms of formal education, but social skills and they have a lot of fun there. Being at home all day long can be boring.

I understand social bonding, all of that can be done at home during the first 3 years.

Let me play with other neighbors kids in the hood, just draft time they can spend outside.
