Anambra Traditional Rulers Raises Alarm Over Soludo's Reckless Use Of State Powe by ChumzyOma(f): 3:26pm On Jan 17
ANAMBRA TRADITIONAL RULERS COUNCIL ASKS GOVERNOR SOLUDO TO STOP THE RECKLESS USE OF STATE POWER ON ITS MEMBERS AND SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH.

This admonition came this morning via a letter written and personally signed by the Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council (ASTRC), Nnaemeka A. Achebe, CFR, mni, Obi Of Onitsha (Agbogidi) and addressed to the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon Tony Collins Nwabunwanne.

In the well-detailed 7-page letter, the Anambra Traditional Rulers represented by the Obi of Onitsha made categorical statements that have put paid to several speculations on the subject matter and also raised posers for the state government to answer.

For instance, it was clearly the position of the Traditional Rulers Council that the government's curious directive on getting clearance from the ministry was never brought before the council or discussed and is, therefore, an afterthought meant for use in carrying out a vendetta against the Igwe of Neni whose perceived crime was conferring Chieftancy Title on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Secondly, the ASTRC Code of Conduct Act conveys on the council, the responsibility of recommending defaulting traditional rulers to the state government for possible sanction, hence their surprise at the arbitrariness of the state government's action in the absence of such recommendations.

Thirdly, the traditional rulers revealed that the state government has been grossly insensitive to their plight, including the developmental needs of the people in their domains.
According to the traditional rulers, the current impression of the general public is that the issue of honorary chieftaincy title is on the foremost front burner for Ndi Anambra. On the contrary, the traditional rulers would state for the umpteenth time that their key challenges include lack of basic amenities (electricity, potable water, healthcare, good access roads, etc) youth unemployment leading to other delinquencies, security and the inability of the communities to fund their contingents of the Anambra State Vigilante Group (AVG), massive urban renewal for our sprawling cities, respectable stipend from the 5% of the statutory allocation to the Local Government Council as is applicable in other States of the Federation, membership and structure of ASTRC, etc., to sum up.

Anambra Council of Traditional Rulers also frowned at the reference to second-term Right Honorable Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as "one Senator Ifeanyi Ubah" as being most disrespectful, offensive, and unbecoming of one holding a political office as Commissioner. They went ahead to state that it is noteworthy that a person can only qualify to contest elections after scaling through the highest level of security checks at the federal level.

Furthermore, Distinguished Senator Ubah holds a chieftaincy title of his hometown, Nnewi, conferred on him by his monarch and Grand patron of the Anambra State Traditional Institution, His Majesty, Igwe Kenneth O. Orizu. Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is also a well-known business investor in Anambra State and a generous philanthropist.

This latest admonition is coming on the heels of the trending one from Archbishop Valerian Okeke calling on the Governor to pay attention to issues of governance and desist from joining issues or seeking to apply state power oppressively on matters that are outside his jurisdiction.

Attached is the letter personalty signed by Obi Of Onitsha, Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe CFR, mni (Agbogidi).

This Soludo has proven to be a vindictive, petty and compound fool, and Anambrarians are never voting him in for a second tenure.
Why does he keep involving himself in what shouldn't be his concern and business, instead of focusing on development and growth of Anambra state?
We will never give a petty fool, another four years of governance of our dear state.
From the onset of his administration, this professor of foolery and stupidity marked himself red, starting with taxation wahala, and he is still marking himself red.

Speak for yourself alone. Your personal opinion is not that of Anabrarians.
