Following the conclusion of the holiday season, Nollywood movies experienced a notable decline in screening attendance at local cinemas. Despite this trend, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ has taken steps to broaden its distribution reach by extending its screening to nine French-speaking African countries.

According to the Cinemas Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), the acclaimed movie witnessed a substantial 55% decrease in gross revenue from January 12, 2024, to January 18, 2024. The comedy-drama, which previously boasted impressive numbers, generated ₦84.6 million during this period, marking a significant drop from the previous week’s earnings.

Despite the decline, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ continues to dominate the charts, securing its position as the most-watched Nigerian cinematic movie for the fifth consecutive week, with a cumulative gross of ₦1,320,874,174.
