I had a job last year march and was confirmed staff after 6 months and included starting off masters part time this year. Talked about it to the MD taking off Fridays from 2pm to attend the program. To my amazement she brought out the company manual stating I put in five years in service before bringing such request. I tried to reach a compromise with her but she insisted she can’t go against the company laws. As anyone had this problem and how best did you handle this. I still feel like damming the consequences and going for it but the funding will be a problem without a job. What’s the best way to handle this, need matured advise

The only solution is to get another job that will give you room for that since it is the company's policy.

Why don't you go for a school that you can attend lectures on Saturdays and Sundays. That's the ideal thing to do with regards to part time studies. No private firm will give you a day off for studies, you can only do that in the civil service.
