How Can I Handle This? by peretei2024(m): 6:25am On Jan 21
I worked with a company ( can't mentioned name) around Second rainbow in mile 2 Lagos. so on Friday I decided to hire an aboki to help me supply my customers with our products bcz some of the products are heavy.

I actually got the Aboki from one of my customers because she knows how heavy some of our products can be but unfortunately the Aboki can't speak or write.

Now after we closed for the day, actually I ought to have taken him back to where I picked him from but because of fuel wahala of driving for about 30mins before I will get to his destination, I decided to call someone close to my office gate to speak Hausa to the Aboki if he actually know his way. They spoke and Aboki confirmed to him that he knows his way, so I decided to give him transportation and I drove to the office

Now, yesterday, very early in the morning, that my customer that referral the Aboki to me called me that they are yet to see the Aboki since he left with me, and I called her to info her when the Aboki left on Friday .

She is now threatening me that she will deal with me if I refused to come see her in her shop, and according to her that aboki's have taken over her shop till the found their brother... and I was instructed not to go because of how dangerous some of these aboki's can be in a situation like this.

I went to the police station at Amuwo odofin to make an official report but I was also referral to another station at Orile to go make report.

Attached below is the picture of the Aboki, in case you see him around mile2/Oshodi, ring me on ..08176573115.

Please what should do because am very sick with these whole thing

What time did he leave? Was it already late? Could it be he was arrested? Seeing he's not from around that area people may find him suspicious? Or his lost his way maybe. Your best case here is to put the word out to as many people as possible.

I dropped him around 4:26pm. I just found out that he is new in Lagos and no one told me about that.

You don't have any blame here.

You contracted him for a job and paid for the services. You weren't going to babysit him all day or tour around with him.

But I am afraid for you because the police station you went to is filled with them and you might likely not get justice if you eventually get to court.

try to relax. He probably lost his way, or worst case scenario was arrested. He'll come around. You did nothing wrong

Was there any agreement that you will be returning the Aboki to his base after work? If no then you don't have to worry since the Aboki is not a baby.

You should report whoever threatened to deal with you instead.

I don't have any written agreement with anyone but that my customer that hand him over to me said I should bring him to her shop once I close for the day so he can follow his fellow aboki's to go home. But I told her I will try

Simple instructions "take him to her shop once you close for the day"

This situation can snowball and get out of hand. Don't go to your friend's shop just yet. Inform her about the whole thing on the phone. Now you have to track a radius of about 2km from your place. Check all the Hausa settlements/mosques within these areas as well. That's where he would likely go if he gets lost. That's hoping the guy hasn't gone far. How many days has this event happened? The earlier the better.

You can also check the police stations around in case they have him.

If these mallams do not see their brother, they would come for the woman who would in turn come for you and by that time, you can't speak Hausa to defend yourself. Police no go save you o.

I have an Uncle who is almost a commissioner of Police so I don't think I have any issue with the police. While, it happened on Friday evening

Just do what you can on monday, I predict they will find him before then. He would likely find someone who speaks the same language and who would also have a phone. Once he mentions some names, they would be able to connect and locate who he has been staying with.

This here will happen. However, check around mosques and any Hausa settlement in your area and keep updating that your customer.
Last last he will turn up. Don't forget to pray too.

Aboki dey rarely miss road.
Re: How Can I Handle This? by ikeno(m): 8:32pm On Jan 21
The blame is partially yours in the sense that you gave your friend the assurance that you will drop him off when he's done with the job and that's the reason she never bother to let you know that the aboki is not conversant to the area.
Don't try going to your friend's place alone cause they will harm you.I'm sure if the aboki knows where you pick him from he can get direction from his fellow aboki. There's no harm at checking close by mosques

Aboki regards any spot he finds himself comfortable to stay

That guy may have gone else where to meet his fellow Aboki for job

Just that he may not have a phone to reach him

Just go with armed police to where the woman stays to know the situation of things and make sure you go unannounced to be sure the shop was hijacked by his people

Aboki can't get lost because their people are every where

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, he will be found.

Bro. Just be calm. I have connected to the heavenly realms for your sake.

What you could have used 30 mins sacrifice to save yourself all this trouble you felt it was too much to do for a common Aboki, now see.

You see this attitude of not willing to help others it's going to land a lot of people into a big mess.
Were you not the one who went to pick the guy when you needed his help? You finished using him and just to go and hand him safely to the person who gave him to you, you carry calculator begin calculate time and sent him away. If it was your brother won't you take the pain to go and drop him and make sure he's safe? What if something happened to him on the way?

Look we really need to change this our attitude of not willing to go out of our way to help others. It's very bad.

I pray he's found alive.

Thank you all.
