Is Yahoo The Only Means Of Survival In Nigeria? by Elistho(m): 7:34pm On Jan 22
I'm broke and not comfortable, broke and angry. Broke, tensed, anxious and exasperated.

Is yahoo the only means of survival for the youths in this country? Every youth I know is into fraud, and they're living very well. This is not about me not being contented, it's a question to the society.

Even my roommate I used to drink Garri with and go days hungry is now living flamboyantly, packed out into a furnished apartment, he's having a nice time and I'm happy for him.. I go there on my free days, they do yahoo but I haven't made up my mind to.

I'm in my early 20's, an A student. What can I do to survive please? I need ideas. I'm broke and angry, almost begging..

What exactly do you people do to make money legitimately, Ideas please.

NB- Not degree oriented, as I'm a student.

The only digital skill I possess is writing, I'm exceptionally good at that. People hype me every now and then. Yet, I'm not making a penny from it. undecided

You can learn content writing and earn between 40,000 and 200,000 Naira per month. Find a mentor..

Literary, that was an "exaggerated" statement to drive home a point and show the severity of what I'm trying to pass.

In context, most youths living comfortably now are into one illegitimate business or another, i know many.

I'm a good content creator, all i do is waste my time on social media writing and receiving accolades, it's getting annoying. Accolades on empty pocket...

Recently, out of annoyance, I paused my daily WhatsApp status written contents updates..

I just want a way of landing gigs.

Don't envy your friend, that his yahoo money is ephemeral (short-lived), most of them goes back to nothing and constantly live in fear. Nothing beats genuine money. I know it's not easy but try and pick up a skill doesn't matter which one and start from there.

I strongly advise against committing yahoo in any form because it is illegal and unethical, and it can result in serious consequences. Not only could you face criminal charges when caught by efcc but you could also damage your reputation and lose the trust of others.

There is no way to make it through yahoo" it is simply not worth the risk. If you are struggling financially, there are other ways to get help. You can speak to your pastor for CSR/Benevolence or look in within your family members for financial assistance to either set up a business or learn a skill.

Do not resort to fraud, it is not the answer.

Everything in this life involves work.

The problem is that we're blinded by aesthetics, stories, and testimonies and think success is like sleeping at night and waking up to dawn with loads of goodies at the doorstep.

There are many means of survival aside engaging in the maneuvering and tactics of fraudulent activities.

Fraudsters aren't in their numbers compared to seas of genuine hustlers. You don't see it because you're veiled by the garment of aesthetics, makeup, and easy quick fixes.

Illegal activities involve tough work.
Legal activities involve tough work.

It depends on the amount of energy you'll put into any of them and the number of sleepless nights you'll have to stay awake to get what you desire.

If you've been doing something that hasn't been fetching you money, you either improve the operation, re-strategize or try something better.

The possibility of having a good nation like the Western world in Nigeria and Africa is at least more than a century and more from now.

So better get used to the system and find ways to leverage and set yourself free from this unfortunate state of affairs.

Legal or illegal, be deliberate about it and you'll succeed.

The downside of going the illegal route is the consequences of physical maltreatment and losses you may experience when your luck is exhausted. But it is still a matter of knowing your game well, which will make you like a slippery eel that can't be caught with wet palms.

No too much whining.
No too much overthinking.
No too much complaints.

Nobody is in a race to abandon theirs to come help you.

Just put on your vest and toolkit. Start working.

Thanks.

The bolded is actually very annoying. So you expect us to beg you not to join?

Every decision, whether good or bad, comes with consequences. Your balling friends might regret their actions tomorrow since they chose to prioritize quick wealth over hard work.

The book of Proverbs 13:11 says "wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it." Your friends might have everything you desire today, but for how long?

I don't even want to talk about morality but what about karma since they cause others pain while making their money? There is a bible verse that talks about God letting wicked people flourish just so He can better punish them.

I will advise you learn a skill and stop looking for quick wealth. The little you make will give you peace of mind even though it might not be enough for your needs. Also, you need to improve on your circle of friends because bad company corrupts good manners.

Finally, you need to understand that you're not doing anyone a favor by not engaging in internet scam. Apart from the fact that it is the right thing to do, lessons learnt through hard work and being a person of integrity will help you understand how the world truly works. That itself can be a game changer for you in life.

Whether or not you decide to tow the part of your friends, I wish you well.

- You're not doing us a favour by not participating in fraud. Join and bear the consequences. There is no justification for crime.

- If all your friends and environment made up fraudsters, then you need to evaluate your circle.

- Finish school with good grades, learn a skill and get a job. Alot of great people today also struggled at some point in life. Our problem is we want that 'great life' immediately whereas it takes time and years to build. Understand the concept that great things take time. If you rush in, you rush out.

- Again, you are not doing anyone a favour by staying away from fraud. Every decision comes with consequences.
