Prayer simply means to make a request. It does not really matter how long or how emotional the request is been made.,
When the disciples asked Jesus "teach us how to pray " you will notice that it was the content of the statement he made to them as prayer that matters.
Our Father Who is Heaven
..Give us your Kingdom
...Forvive our Sins
..Provide for us
...Deliver us from evil

Simple prayer, simple statements.

And when he eventually brought down his Holy ghost in the book of Acts of the Apostles at the upper room, it was never stated that the disciples prayed after that.
Rather, they spoke in Tongues.

Now, what is this tongues that they spoke and for what purpose?
Have you ever seen someone you know that he speaks only Hausa language then all of a sudden, he starts speaking Yoruba fluently?

That is what the tongue was all about.
And it was never done in prayer.

Now, Abrakabrakabra! is incantation for the babalawos and can never be equated to prayer even among the African traditionalists
