Yes

1 million ke, only food will gulp more than half of that money depending on the guest and the menu.

decoration still dey, feeding dey, outfits dey, venue dey, logistics dey, drinks dey all for 1million, that is not relatively possible.

the best is just do court weeding, do food packs for people that will be at the court to witness the joining and use the balance to start life.

Even if you have 20 million to play with, don't ever let anyone make you spend what will make you frown after 2-3 months after wedding. This is the smart move i will advise you based on my 10 years of experience in marriage, always plan your weeding expenses not more than half of all your own personal money. if you have 1millon naira, do weeding of 500k, if you have 2million, don't let your cost be more than 1m. You will thank me later. It is not easy to start life with two and expecting children, you need to start strong if you want to go far in life.

Yes. BUT IT DEPENDS ON YOU BOTH:

As you affected by what people think or say about u?
Do u like to impress?
DO want people to tink you are rich and that your family is doing well?

If your answer is YES then it wont not be enough...if the answer is yes it also means u are not wise>

So my advise get the list. dedeuct the cost of everything there plus 150k (Emegencies) from the 1m. Check how much you have left with the current market prices plus 10 percent per items.

Check if it will cover for a small traditional wedding and blessing with close families and close friends. No need calling those far away.

PLEASE DO NOT BORROW THINK THE MONEY YOU'LL BE SPRAYED WILL HELP YOU CLEAR IT. INFACT, REMOVE HOPE FROM CASH GIFTS SO YOU DONT GET DISAPPOINTED.

It all checks out. Then you are good to go, Invite me.

Am doing mine this year and I will not waste money feeding or impressing anyone. Man is insatiable.

1 million Naira has the value of 650k of last year. So it depends on how you plan your occasion

In this wicked economy, N1m will only be enough if you want to wear simple shirt and trouser/ simple dress as wedding gown, have no wedding reception, cut small cake, and only give out homemade Zobo drink and biscuits/ puff-puff to the guests
people wey dey marry on low key don't spend that much

I don't know why our society forces people to throw a huge party in the name of marriage

It isn't necessary

too many 1 million is too much

To many 100 million is still not enough

All these things mostly depends on your level and standard you want it to be .

Some people wedding gown alone cost more than 1 million .when you know this you'll know peace .

The marriage is more important than the wedding, so irrespective of how much you end up spending for the celebrations, make sure you have enough to take care of the home after.

It won't be enough. A friend of mine spent 4m for his wedding both Tm and white and he regretted. He didn't even get half of the gift he spent.

Any amount is ok to plan a wedding, it just that we like to overdo and show off with our wedding

500k is even enough.

How about cutting your coat according to your size? One million is enough. 500k is also enough. Three million may not be enough. Get the gist?
