2025: Soludo will have smooth sailing victory- APGA

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has said the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State will be a smooth sail to the incumbent governor of the state, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.

The National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, said this on Sunday in a statement made available to our correspondent.

Obigwe who was Reacting to news story that: "Obi, Tony Nwoye, Ubah , Umeh, Church, Monarchs , may lead fight against Soludo in 2025," predicted Soludo's convincing victory in the governorship race next year.

He said,"I will state emphatically in the above referred piece that Governor Soludo will have a smooth sail in coasting home to victory in 2025.

"The reason is because of his administration delivery of dividends of good governance to Ndi Anambra.

"Anybody that wants to be truthful to him or herself will first of all confess that Governor Soludo is working because his good works are seen across the 21 local government areas of Anambra State.

"As for Peter Obi, I say it boldly that he will only oppose Governor Soludo re election in 2025 for the singular reason that they are not in the same party but as for rating on performance, he will testify that Governor Soludo is truly working.

"Like I always say, Peter Obi first term in office as Anambra Governor was marred with crisis and in that regards, he did not do much in his first term.

"It was in his second term that he did most of the things that are being credited to him.

"It's expected that with his experience, he will appreciate Governor Soludo for hitting the ground running from the first day he took over Anambra State government mantle of leadership.

"From that day till date , Governor Soludo has been working tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in him by Anambra electorates.

"When you look at Governor Soludo achievements within 1year and 10months of being in office, you will agree with me that by the time he completes his first term in office that he must have finished laying the foundation for Anambra transformation and will use a well deserved second term mandate to complete the transformation of our state project and turn Anambra into the best state in Nigeria.

"Peter Obi enjoyed second term mandate even when he did not do much in his first term as Governor
If he fights Governor Soludo second term mandate , he is doing that without justification because he knows very well that Governor Soludo deserves to be rewarded with a second term mandate to continue the good work he is doing in our State.

Continuing, Obigwe said,"As for Tony Nwoye, I will say that he does not know what he wants. He is confused and swimming in the river of political confusion. His opposition will not affect Governor Soludo second term re-election in any way.

"From all indication, he will contest the 2025 election and we welcome him into the ring for the race.
"We are praying for Tony Nwoye to secure Labour Party ticket to contest the 2025 governorship election so that Anambra electorate will use their votes to teach him a bitter lesson.

"Governor Soludo is not disturbed at all with Tony Nwoye opposition and we are happy that he started early.

About Ifeanyi Ubah, Obigwe said, "As a second term Senator, it is obvious to him that getting a third term Senate mandate can be likened to a Camel passing through the eye of a needle hence his reason for throwing his hat into the ring to contest the 2025 governorship election. So his fight against Governor Soludo well deserved second term re election is a waste of time.

Commending the Senator, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chief Victor Umeh for playing mature politics, Obigwe said, "Umeh is honestly being tactful because he knows that the interest of Anambra Central people that he is representing at the Senate is paramount.

OBIGWE'S STATEMENT READS

As it stands today, Governor Soludo is the only person that will govern Anambra State 4 more years and return power to Anambra Central.

Desperate aspirants are promising that if they win that they will do four years and return power to Anambra Central.

We all know that such promise is not practicable and that it will not be honoured.

It can be likened to a promise made in the heat of passion.

If we go by our constitution, Governor Soludo is the best bet for Anambra Central people, Anambra north and Anambra South people because a second term mandate for him will entrench zoning in our state.

Anambra Central can't wait for the next 12 years before having another taste of the governorship position.

This is why fighting Governor Soludo well deserved second term will not be a do or die affair for Senator Victor Umeh and even Peter Obi.

On the claim that the Church will lead fight against Soludo in 2025.I will say that such claim is false because they don't have any justifiable reason to do so.

If the author of the above referred piece is saying that because of what happened at Rev. Fr. Obimma mother'ss burial, I will say that he got it wrong and that he knows nothing about our highly respected Archbishop Valerian Mmaduka Okeke.

Let me say this without minding whose ox is gored, Archbishop Valerian Okeke played major role in the first term election of Governor Soludo and he did that for the betterment of our State.

He did not do that because of what he will gain rather he supported his first term election because of his belief that Soludo will bring the needed transformation to Anambra State.

I see Archbishop Valerian Okeke as the highest supporter of Governor Soludo till date.

Not even his opposition to Anambra burial law can affect his support for Governor Soludo.

He is supporting Governor Soludo because of his pedigree and he is happy that Governor Soludo is delivering dividends of good governance to ndi Anambra.

Honestly, Archbishop Valerian Okeke is a true statesman that is only after what will benefit the masses and not after pecuniary gains.

It is wrong for anybody to use because of Archbishop Valerian Okeke's opposition to some of the provisions of Anambra burial law to conclude that he will fight Governor Soludo well deserved second term re election bid.

Such thing will not happen and any anybody expecting it to happen will be disappointed.

As for our Monarchs, they are happy with Governor Soludo because they know that he means well for ndi Anambra.

They are happy with the work Governor Soludo is doing in their various communities and will use the 2025 election to mobilise their subjects to reward the Governor for his administration good work in our State.

Anybody that fights Governor Soludo well deserved second term bid hate good things.

I'm of the strong belief that anybody in his or her right senses will support Governor Soludo re-election in 2025 because it is for the good of our State.

Anambra deserves the best and Governor Soludo is God best gift to ndi Anambra. The good people of Anambra will give him overwhelming support in 2025 because they know that a second term mandate for him is for the good of our State.
