A consulting company is looking for a contract grant writer to dedicate 20-40 hours weekly to multiple projects. The position is 100% WFH. Compensation is open to negotiation based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop clear and persuasive grant proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funder priorities.
- Research, identify and evaluate potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations and other sources.
- Work closely with the grants manager to gather information and data necessary for compelling grant proposals for different programs and locations.
- Support the grants manager in managing the grants calendar and lifecycle, from proposal submission to reporting, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
- Proactively work with the grants manager to meet with the program and finance directors to track and report on grant deliveries, expenditures and outcomes.
- Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar and communicate deadlines to the grant manager.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding sources
- Collaborate with team members to develop strategic plans for fundraising efforts

Requirements
· At least 1-2 years of experience writing grants for foundations and corporations
· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to work independently
· Strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills
· Strong computer skills, including but not limited to proficiency with meeting platforms like Zoom and Google Meet; Google Workspace; MS Word; and spreadsheet processing
· A passion for building and serving urban communities
· A strongly held commitment and dedication to the success of the organization
· Proven ability to develop good rapport with people of all backgrounds
· Ability to work well with others and under pressure
