Governing a state is nothing compared to running an entire country. The president, not a governor, manages the economy of the country. That's the most difficult task before any politician anywhere in the world.

Besides, Lagos State is by far the richest and the smallest state in Nigeria. This means that even if you bring a grandma and make her governor, there's no way she won't govern well.

In summary, a man can do well as a Lagos governor (I am not saying that Tinubu did well), but he cannot handle the presidency or federal appointments. We saw that with Fashola who did well in Lagos as governor but was utterly useless as a minister.
