President Tinubu, A Need To End This Circle Of Doom. by EclecticBen: 10:12pm On Feb 02
Some of us lost the affinity of friends & relatives because of our courage in standing for you during the electioneering campaign. They believed that the other youthful appealing candidate has better solution than you, but we believe in your tract records of success & excellence above other none tested & unproven promises.

Presently, the country is bedeviled by socio-economic comatose and it is in need of urgent surgery as a matter of exigency. This will ensure that your mantra of a Renewed Hope does not turn to a Forlorn Hope.
The intervention measures you have in mind is still trapped at the top just like the famous NSCDC “Oga at the top” scenario with Channels TV presenters mentioned it. The intervention measures are not trickling down as it should. There is a widespread despair in the land. To avoid increasing destitution, we need an urgent institutional reforms and programs that will enhance the welfare and living conditions of Nigerian citizens. There is a strong positive nexus among welfarism, peace & unity.

Just a few weeks ago on the 08/01/2024 at about 1pm, the marketing staff of Globus Bank, Ikorodu, Lagos, a lady by name Amarachi Ugochukwu, aged 32yrs was found dead in the staff toilet.
It happened that she had left her phone on her table and the phone kept ringing which made her colleagues to start looking for her, after which the office toilet door was noticed to have been locked from behind. However, the door was forcefully opened and her motionless body with an empty medium sized SNIPPER bottle was seen and a diary where she wrote: -

"NOTHING IS WORKING IN MY LIFE"
"MY FIGURES ARE LOW"
"MY BRAIN IS CLOGGED UP"
"THE ECONOMY IS GETTING HARDER"
"MY DECISIONS ARE WRONG"
"MY MIND IS MESSED UP"
"THE FUTURE DOESN'T SEEN BRIGHT AT ALL, I SEE EXTREME HARDSHIP. I CAN'T BEAR THE PAIN ANYMORE"
"I'M SORRY MOM, I'M SORRY DAD, I'M SORRY NENE, OKWE, TUTONAZOR, CHUCHU, IFUNANYA"
"DEAR LORD HAVE MERCY ON ME!"

Such a pathetic situation. Just an example of many more unannounced scenarios. A whole lot of others are masking and managing the wanton hardship in the land. The young lady ended it all. It was a case of stack anxiety & a mental clog because she only could see a blighted future. Hardly could she imagine the acronym of your protegee, BRF, Brighter Rewarding Future. The future is posturing to be dark and darkness brings sadness. Amidst unbearable cost of power supply other places are facing epileptic power supply in this 21st century and not in a stone age.

Dear President Tinubu, there is an urgent need for your administration to gladden our hearts. There is an urgent need for you to inform your lieutenants to know that at this junction the power of love and not the love of power should be a guiding principle in bringing succor to our people living in such a plagued & repressive society. There is an urgent need to ignite the hope of our people and lighten the burdens in our hearts. The burden of lack and deprivation is eroding the dignity of the human persons of our people.

The condition of most graduates of our educational institutions is pathetically saddening & annoying. Some graduates are now burning their educational certificates because they could not see hope in sight. They are bereft of the chances of getting employment in places like CBN & NNPC on merit. No Nigerian is more Nigerian than any Nigerian, we are all Nigerian with equal right & access. A society where a child of a nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody is the type of a just and egalitarian society we are clamouring for.

Dear President Tinubu, your aides need to give you a true brief of what the temperature is in our society. The temperature is very hot Sir. The youthful cohorts are only able to tranquilize their agitated state of mind by internet activities, Sports Betting, Hook-Up Apps, Shark Loan Apps owned by Chinese nationals operating in our country and tormenting our citizens who could not meet up with payment on time. This is neo-colonialism! Other youths engage in internet enabled fraud. When these activities get saturated and no longer bringing returns some take to evil vices such as Yahoo Plus.

Dear President Tinubu, the journey of your life started on a rough note to greatness. In this last quarter of your life expectancy, the greatest legacy and impact you can make is to set a template for a land of bright and full opportunity for all citizens. You must put your lieutenants in a state of emergency in delivering the promise of hope for Nigerian Citizens.

In 1933 to 1938 United States of America was experiencing the great depression, President Franklin Roosevelt initiated a set of interventions termed “THE NEW DEAL”. The reforms and programs in this intervention restored the economic vitality of United State of America. Nigeria is in dire need of such a meaningful intervention now.

Right from the disastrous experience of a pandemic year 2020 life has been unbearable for Nigerian Citizens, the most populous black nation on the globe. Your predecessor did not provide enough succor to ameliorate the pain of the people. He was eventually nicknamed “BABA-GO-SLOW”. Please we need you to be a “BABA-ACTION-PACT”.

Right from year 2020, a lot of economic decision was plunging our people into abysmal poverty with its attendant mental & physical implications on the health of our citizens. Proper health management is beyond the affordability of an average citizen. The palliatives were hoarded and shared among cronies at the top. Dubai & Europe are their place for cruising.

The cash crunch policy crisis of the last administration brought untold hardship to our people. It has not subsided, you welcomed us with a fuel subsidy removal at the beginning of your administration without an already initiated plan on ground to provide succor. Everybody is managing & scampering to see how to contend with this harsh reality. Suddenly, your administration greeted us yet again with Naira-Dollar floating with an expectation that it could bring stability. Shockingly, the systemic rot is deeply embedded. The policy did not yield expected outcome. Forex racketeering continued to happen among the Forex Cabals. There is both natural & artificial imbalance.

Fuel & Forex, the major drivers of our economy are now sick & bedridden. There is an urgent need to turn things around.
Sadly, our Nigerian society is repressive to personal and business development. Circumstances are harsh and brute, it takes extra ordinary courage to prosper. We need a new deal in our society. Sadly, the survival of companies in Nigeria is so challenged by overhead capital financing, electricity power financing and series of business stifling policies of government. Sadly, GlaxoSmithKline amongst various other companies just folded up their operations in Nigeria due to Forex instability. Painfully, Oba Akran in Ikeja which once boasted of being the most industrialized place in Nigeria is now becoming like a graveyard by the death and desertification companies. Oba Akran is becoming a shadow of itself, there is an urgent need for resuscitation of our defunct companies for optimal operations.

Food and shelter are basic necessity of life but are now having skyrocketing inflation, both in rural & urban places the affordability of food & shelter for our people is becoming a factor and a cause of hypertension. Food, shelter & health are fundamental indicators of human wellbeing.

Mr. President, just like the United States of America were able to meaningfully turn their fortune around during the great depression, we are in urgent need for a messianic approach for restoration.

This is a lamentation of vulnerable, hopeless, hapless & helpless youths of Nigeria. The energy & creativity of the Nigerian Youths must be harnessed for meaningful national development and it must not be allowed to be used for vices, crisis & protests.
To serve Nigeria with all our strength, to be faithful, loyal and honest is a national creed we all pledged. Integrity behooves on us to live by this pledge and actualize it.

Yours in national patriotism.
