MarketSpaceNG just scammed me after sending him a chat feature source code .

This guy contacted me about a e-commerce project and he said he wants it to be a replica of jiji.

After checking the site he told me that he built the front end with vue JS and the back end with PHP laravel.

So I told him I'm not that good in vue JS but we can help him rebuild everything he needed on this current project with pure PHP laravel and also make it more scalable.

He didn't respond, and he was saying he doesn't have enough time to start a rebuild.

Later about 2weeks he contacted me again that he needs a live chat for user to user end point and also a third-party live chat from tawk.to.

I first did the tawk before doing the main user to user live chat using pusher.

The send me 25k for the integration of the tawk then I charge him 75k for the user to user live chat feature, after I started the second one, he started putting pressure and me and started threatening me with police that I am wasting his time.


After I finish the features I try to deploy to the GitHub repo and I got an error that the the marger has issue.

I found out the another dev has updated the code base so I need to pull it first before l resend it.

I did a pull request and edit my end. But still the same issue.

I lay the complain to him and the other Dev in the group, later I successfully deployed it but many things in the current website changes.

The next thing he told the Dev to revert the code and also remove me from the group.

The next day he contacted me to send him the code I did that a Dev will look into it, I send him the file. 3days later I messaged him to know the update on the code and also to get my balance, he started asking me what balance, that he will use legal team to arrest me.

That I wasted his time and he will deal with me.

i didnt, and i notice he only use lawyer to threaten me. the code is working , i send hima video presentation, and images to show is working on my end.

he removed me from the group and later contact me the next day to send him the source code, i was a little scared that he will not pay but just to be sure i send the file, now he said he will arrest me that i have no right to ask for my balance
