Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles, 75, has been diagnosed with a form of cancer. The diagnosis came to light during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate. While the specific type of cancer has not been disclosed, the palace stated that the King initiated "regular treatments" on Monday.

Despite this health setback, Buckingham Palace emphasized that King Charles maintains a positive outlook towards his treatment and eagerly anticipates resuming full public duties at the earliest opportunity. As part of his treatment plan, the King will temporarily postpone his public engagements. During this period, senior royals are expected to assist by standing in for him.
