Agreed.

We can still produce the fertilizers here. We have some fertilizer companies.

The FG and some cabals knows what they get when they import what we can produce here, they also know what they can get when the mess with the exchange rate.

Beans, soya beans, groundnut, tomatoes, millet, okra, bitter leaves, spinach, cassava, sweet Potatoes and some others do not need fertilizer.

U don't want to use fertilizers ..how will u improve crop yields??
..hope u are aware even even the seeds we buy are imported....we now use genetically modified crop that can stand against insect and disease so that losses will be reduced ..

Is it to fix or bring it down to affordable rate. But is it really possible? The only possibility is partial subsidy on petroleum products. If the petrol price can come to N300 per litter, prices of many items will drop.

In addition, they should invest in railway transport across major cities in the country.

For instance, if train is available from Port Harcourt to Kano, items can be bought and sold at a lower rate. Transportation cost is the reason prices of most food items are high.

They should also insist that foreign buyers pay Naira for products they buy in Nigeria. It will increase the value of naira.

The only way government can fix price is to pay subsidy.....
And this is why pple have been saying ....the two major exchange rate and fuel that drives this economy...government shouldn't have removed subsidy completely on both..

They removed it..claimed they saved money only to give it to state government who end up embezzling...masses are suffering from two angles..

We are a nation heavily dependent of importation..... Exchange rate cannot be fvcked with.....it will lead to problem...

.and that's why this inflation will never stop until government returns their control in the dollar market and fix exchange rate...

....yes the solution is to subsidize fuel or make the refeneries to work so that fuel and petroleum products can be refined and produced in nigeria which will make the price of fuel and other petroleum products cheap and affordable and for foreign exchange rate dollars .it's nigeria to be a producing country...more exportation of goods and less Importation of goods and for nigerians to value buy patronize what they have in their country.. not everytime nigerians going to attend foreign universities abroad, foreign hospitals abroad., foreign goods and things..all these put pressure and high demand for dollars which makes dollars to keep on rising and make naira to depreciate and loss value

i see the point youre making

if government should remove subsidy on products, then the money which would have been used for subsidy should be channeled into building products or services that bring foreign exchange into the country

IF THE GOVT CANNOT GUARANTEE using the money which was to be used for subsidy well, then let subsidy stay

Exactly!!!!

They should go to Algeria, Tunisia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, etc.....Apart from other major subsidy......these countries even pay subsidy on goods that every one technically uses e.g flour ...so they control manufacturers price, which will help stabilize the market and help the Masses on the long run....

...but these bunch of clowns and lunatics called federal government think removal of subsidy on fuel and the exchange rate will just automatically fix the economy..

.. We are in for a dangerous ride in this nation oooo......because i dont beleive they don't know what to do.... They are just more interested in embezzling and living lavish life style on our only source of foreign exchange....
