This is the right time for made in Nigeria products to capitalise on the market and flood their product with it.

However, trust Nigerians with their greediness, they will capitalise negatively.

This is the right time for 100% made in Nigeria product to flourish. Instead to look at the good side, they will still want to inflate their product in accordance to the USD. Funny enough, it is so bad in Nigeria that Nigerian used product are also competing with foreign used ones. Everyone of them citing USD.

Are we spending USD in Nigeria? If you want to have a comic relief, go to the car sector. Some are even trying to sell a Nigerian used bettle for a million Naira. Why are we so greedy? If we can't get it now, we can NEVER get it again.

Yes, petrol is expensive but how many times has the price of petrol and others gone up like the USD? Let's discourage import for now and stick to our local mades. But if you have the money to buy import, go for it.

Yesterday, I was told the local rice is now #65k from #55k. People just trying every effort to compete with the foreign rice. Please what has changed with our local rice and beans? What has local rice and beans got to do with the USD fluctuation?

Are you paying your workers in USD or are you just importing your milling machines?

Nigeria na una know ooo

It's because there is hardly any production or manufacturing chain in Nigeria ...that from it's start to finish u won't need a foreign part that's dependent on dollar....

For example....
..From the planting phase in the farm....we use fertilizers....news flash...Nigeria Imports of Fertilizers was US$362.18 Million during 2022..... Are u getting the picture now??

...When u start transporting crops from local farm to cities, fuel that has been affected by dollar will affect cost of movement... Baba..do u know how much it cost to move tomatoes from Kano to Lagos?? Na die ooooo

...When farm produce now gets to industries. You will now begin see all manner of dollar-dependent machines and material that will convert e.g cocoa to bournvita, raw milk to powder milk....wheat to spaghetti, indomie etc

That's just food ooo

....u want to make phones locally....u will need foreign parts......dollar ooooo..

...u want to make books...u need foreign made machines and printers .....dollar oooo...

My brother .....there is almost no production line from start to finish that doesn't require a foreign input which will attract the dollar ...

it's not a crime to import ...the US is the greatest exporter in the world and still they import like mad, it's help local produce...... Brazil is another great importer of food.....yet brazil imports millions of other foods and technology like Nigeria

The government is still the problem...they should stop embezzling and wasting our foreign earnings, which will give us liberty of funding out exchange rate and help our foreign trades/imports....

..One of the most strongest currencies in the world is that of Oman and Kuwait.(almost same unit as the pound and dollar) ..how.??
They don't produce much like Nigeria..oil is virtually their only export....but they don't embezzle and waste everything like nigeria ..so they have enough dollars to hedge their exchange rate and fix it permanently on the same level as the dollar....making it easy for their importers to import things easily
