Focus: The Determinant of Success in Life

The word for today:
!You need more than strength and experience to succeed in life. It is not enough to labour; outstanding success happens when God has mercy on you and adds favour to your labour!

God's mercy and favour are the flavour of a man's labour if he must succeed. It is evident that some people are strong and can labour hard but with nothing to show for it. Imagine a man who always rises early but eats the bread of sorrow after hard labour. A man will not succeed until God empowers him to succeed.

The disposition of God to your labour in every aspect of life is an important factor that determines success. That you adopt a strategy that worked out yesterday does not make it a model for today's challenge. You must desire God's favour and acknowledge Him in everything you do. You can only be so sure of better days ahead if and only if you will be favoured by God. Don't neglect or trivialize the God factor in every effort you put in place if you must succeed!
