What mission? They day they barely do anything there, you're talking about mission. Small time, you will say this is why food is expensive. Or maybe you have an u cle who is waiting.

Those countries don't have as many missions as we have, and they do go without ambassadors at times too.

The proper procedure is for the most senior diplomat to manage tne embassy as head of mission in the absence of an ambassador.

There is no operational issue here.
