Shantyken:

Pls what crop(s) can the willing youths of Niger delta go into. Presently am into palm oil

Yam, cassava, sweet potatoes , in between the ridges of the yam or cassava plantation you can also get plant peppers in sacks. Empty bags of rice sacks, fill it with loamy soil and arrange the sacks of bags in between the ridges of the yam or cassava plantation .

If you don’t have money for fertiliser , start rearing rabbits in numbers . Rabbit urine is more powerful and has more NPK fertiliser

The more yams or cassava you plant the more peppers or carrots you plant in sacks in between

When it’s time to spray the crops with the rabbit urine you will use 2 birds to kill one as you will be spraying the yams leaves as we all the pepper or carrots leaves

Yams take 6 months to be ready
Cassava between 6-8
Carrots take 3 months
Peppers take just about 3 months
Sweet potatoes grow inside the soil and mature in 3 months
You can add ginger too

These crops are FREE because agriculture is free

If we were buying sunlight and rainfall from God then maybe we would say it cost money

Apart from weeding which won’t be problematic because you have placed bags of soil in sacks in between the yam ridges . You won’t have that much weeding to do .

Agriculture is FREE

No way you will grow all of these things and take it to the market and you won’t return home with millions of naira

If You are by yourself grow as much as your power can carry you
If you want to employ you employ and grow as much as your power can carry you

Growing crops is free
Always take the crops that grow inside the soil more seriously than outside the soil

Tuber crops that grow inside the soil will
Give you more money than outside the soil ones because the tubers crops can be stored in most cases for another 6 months or so in barns or yards

Having a farm near a major market helps

Good luck

Does this mean that if you have dollars in your dorm account assuming you work remotely with a foreign company and you are paid in dollars to your dorm account, you won't get the dollars from the banks over the counter but your dollar will be exchanged automatically by the bank to your naira account? If this is so at what rate? The floating naira rate? For me, I still prefer I get my dollar over the counter and go to the open market and trade it off o.....
