The AFCON Journey So Far: Finals Match by IzuKiba77: 4:56pm On Feb 10
We have all been both happy and saddened by the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations reaching its last level of play. We have witnessed several amazing games thus far since the competition began on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

There have already been several upsets at the AFCON, with Egypt, Cameroon, Tunisia, Ghana, and Nigeria failing to win in their opening matches. The tournament's group round concluded with 24 teams advancing. The favorites, Senegal, got off to an imposing start elsewhere. Subsequently, the Ivory Coast, the host country, removed Senegal from the tournament. Not to be forgotten are the Pharaohs of Egypt, who were eliminated from the competition because DR Congo lost a penalty match; None of us was prepared for their loss. With impressive combat, South Africa prevailed over Morocco. The Super Eagles defeated every side that stood in their way during their unrelenting ascent from the group stage. When they faced the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, the match was heartbreaking and exhilarating for both teams. Following a tie, the two resilient nations faced off in a penalty shootout, but it was the Super Eagles who not only prevailed but also advanced to the championship game. The host country proved to us what genuine perseverance can accomplish as they reached the finish line prepared to face the Nigerian Super Eagles in the championship match, which everyone would be excited to watch but before we can see such a masterpiece, we need to find out who of South Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo would finish third in the AFCON tournament.

The Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan is set to host the finals on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Collectively, we express our gratitude and congratulations to every country that took part in the AFCON 2024 games. You all gave it your all, and as fellow Africans, we are proud of you all. We also thank TECNO, 1xBet, Ecobank, Total Energies, and all the other brands and corporations that are sponsoring and supporting AFCON 2024.

This article was delivered well, so far so good, I guess we can say that at this point. From the very start, I supported Nigeria and didn't have a single whether we were going to lose or not. So prayers up to Nigeria and let's pray they win it for the nation.
