Average Nigerian knows the country’s problems and solutions.
Nigeria problem is not academic but political
So, just leave those lecturers and students alone.

You can only give what you have. Unfortunately, aside medicine and law, most university lecturers do not have workplace/ industry experience. They only pass on what the were thought hook, line and sinker.

The sure bet to having a more productive university is to structure the recruitment process to allow for the employment of experienced and seasoned retired professionals. Most organisations peg 60 yrs as the retirement age. Imagine have these seasoned professionals from engineering, Oil and gas, business management teaching and passing their industry experience and trainings to the young undergraduate.
The country does not provide room for this. Imagine after years of reading, writing thesis and going for industrial training again, you will still be paid less than a local government chairman.

You see the way Shettima was mocking his mates the other time at UI.
Na like dis this country go tey end am

Exactly my view. Even the conferences and committees they funded directly, they did not use the result

How many have they ever considered..

How many projects, research work, ideas, innovation, workshops have they ever used coming from our own university how many have they sponsored..
They keep frustrating bright minds in a deliberate attempt to undermine their efforts results of which is brain drain for greener pastures to Europe and the rest of the globe.
