The movie industry has suffered yet another blow following the barbarous murder of one of Benin’s illustrious son. The victim, Dan Iyamu was allegedly murdered by his wife on the 8th of November 2011 in his residence. The wife of the deceased has been confirmed to be a psychiatric patient but was transpired before she used a pestle to hit her husband in the head is yet to be unraveled.

She has been arrested and currently in Police custody as interrogations commences. You will recall that just few months ago, it was the shocking death of Nollywood star Sam Loco Efe that grieved the Benin people. Dan Iyamu was among the originators of the movie industry in Edo State. His legacy, dedication and commitment to ensuring the development the industry will surely be missed. He was particularly known for his brilliance in mixing dance with drama.
