BTC halving is a programed algorithm that cause a systematic 50% shortage in supply of Bitcoin and no market sentiment or whatsoever can prevent it from taking place every 2nd week of April in a 4yrs.

2months before the halving, there's always a pre-halving pump in Cryptocurencies and more especially on BTC just as it's pumping now.

After the halving, BTC will become costlier and the whales and other micro investors that has bought will sell large portion of their BTC knowing that the supply has reduced due to halving.
