Just my musings this morning after coming across a post on nairaland about the invasion of Nigerian forests and villages by fulani with their agenda and how inequipped our agencies are in dealing with them, especially as the military are largely from the same region that is allegedly involved in this terrorism business...

I think this administration has to leave all else (if possible) and tackle insecurity problems that is slowly strangling us and driving all sectors to their knees. There is no need trying to lobby investors if you cannot guarantee the safety of their personnel and the inflow of raw materials. More raw materials for most industries are agriculture based and agriculture is greatly threatened by the insecurity issue. Left to me, the army alone, in the current state have proved overwhelmed and inadequate and more proactive and ingenious measures should be employed.

We are at war o, weather we know or accept it or not. The enemy is already within our boarders and has launched a full scale attack on us. If you are familiar with warfare tactics, the first things to destroy when a city or nation is under siege is the food supply lines.These people are dedicated in looting, burning and grazing peoples farms and killing or kidnapping farmers, we need to wake up and see what is right in front of us. We know they are there in the forests, we know who they are because they are pretty obvious, they don't speak any of our known languages. Give them 30days to vacate our territorial spaces and then launch a massive onslaught on them! Shoot to kill! We need to do this fast as people are starving to death and collapsing out of hunger already.

The big question now is, who will bell the cat? Who will do this job? The answer is every man who is able and willing. Most graduates did paramilitary training or nysc. What was the purpose? Also, many jobless, hungry and frustrated people everywhere, tired of life and contemplating suicide, many here even on nairaland . Why die for nothing when you can live for something and contribute to sanitising our country and building a new and secure Nigeria? Sign them up, pay them, feed them and put them to work! In the south West and Eastern States, there are strong and fearless men who are popularly known as agbero and Union boys. There are almost more agberos than there are vehicles on the roads. Recruit them and unleash them on the terrorist in the forests! Give them a cause worth fighting for and let them do something to be proud of and come back as hero's and veterans!

Make it worth their while too.. all these money they are sharing up and down in the name of white elephant projects, buy better ammunition, safety equipment etc, build housing units for them and take good care of their families. Pay them well and dignify those tasked with securing the country! Do these first and watch other problems like food security, unemployment and foreign investment rapidly resolve themselves.

President Tinubu should show us that he is ready to tackle this beast and save the nation before it is totally and irrevocably consumed. My 2 cent sha.
