The government is overwhelmed by clueless selfish officers who are beneficiaries of appointments and another set of smart and intelligent appointees who are caged by departmental bureaucracy in government parastatal.

As it stands now, there is nothing that the government is producing that the citizens can subscribe to so that some of their earnings can go back to the government.

The political jobbers are mostly living tax free and they earn over 50% of government recurrent expenditure.

The housing ministry award contract to themselves at exorbitant amount making it impossible for building of low cost houses for public subscription.

Ministry of works and housing should have a cement factory, run a quarry, plastic industries and ceramics. They should also be involved in a steel factory and a timber factory. These are the industries that produces most of the materials used in building and constructions.
They should have staffs who actually works and not just those who carry files from office to office.

The agriculture ministry and the research institute have not been doing enough.
The root crops research institute had a break through in cassava variety they call 419 stem that yields unbelievable output but it is not readily available or tested in the north with vast land mass. They are supposed to be working to reduce the duration it takes for the casava roots to be harvested so that regions with less rain duration can get the maximum benefit of the breakthrough.
The varieties of rice in the market are really not that good especially in the north. We use to have a fine variety in benue state that has long grain it seems to have gone extinct.
The ministry should work and get these special breeds that makes farming fun.

Ministry of transport had to pay transport operators just to subsidize transport fares during the festive season. We are yet to see the beneficiaries of such good gesture by the government. But we onlookers believe it was all for fund diversion to take place.
Ministry of transportation should have vehicles on the road on subsidize amount constantly. But nothing to show. One clueless minister thought what we need is a transportation university and not vehicles on the road. If we have aviation school, why not transport school. As long as we have people who are clueless about the priorities of the ministries they are appointed to head or supervised, they will will focus on something else.

I have applied for passport online since 2021 but have not gone for physical capture because of my work schedule. I have deliberately not scheduled another appointment since 2021 because I have missed my first schedule due to work and I only have one more left as only 2 chances were provided. After the media frenzy by the interior minister about making passport application available online, I thought something new was added. Quick check appears that everything was the same. So why the frenzy. I understand the need to make a ministry appear to be working, it should go about it in a truthful manner.
