I remember when I went to a political rally. I always like sitting close to the real politicians. I crawled my way into the canopy meant for the elites. A police officer saw me and immediately shouted that I should leave that area. I bodly asked him "why" while keeping my head up and bold with seriousness. He looked at me and asked me "who are you", the childishness in me answered "I am a human being". Omo he raised his gun and commanded me to run out immediately. Lol I ran when I saw the other officers walking towards me. How do you answer the question who are you when you are being stopped on the road or anywhere by a Nigerian police |

The question "Who are you" is a psychological question devised by Nigerian policemen to weigh a suspect. When you start to explain immediately who you are, it shows you're a chaff, that's when they start to exploit and bully you. Purvan:I simply replied I am Mr so and so, I have been in a situation were I heard to present my ID, I was a student then. They let me go but I saw them carry some guys who couldn't identify properly. |
