My opinion on protests against Tinubu

The president general of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has asked all Igbos in Nigeria not to join in any protests against the government of Tinubu due to the hardship presently ravaging Nigeria. In contrast to Iwuanyanwu, several top brass from the North and some average folks in the Southwest have wondered why the SE is not joining in the protests. I wish to lend my voice in support of Chief Iwuanyanwu’s request. No Igbo, be it in the SE or those resident in other parts of Nigeria, should protest against Tinubu. At this point it makes no strategic sense for the SE/Igbo to protest against Tinubu. Moreover, protestations will not magically put food on your table in the short run. Tinubu is Nigeria’s president (even though he rigged himself into power) and must be allowed to be president until 2027 and quite possibly, another 4 years, as per power of incumbency.

The North must understand that they cannot dictate to the Igbo what to do or not do. Where was the Noth when Tinubu and his Awalokans went on rampage killing, maiming, and destroying Igbo properties in Lagos during and after the elections? Now, because hunger is affecting the North direly, they are seeking allies to work with. They are now calling for the dismemberment of the country (as shown in videos) just because of a plate of food. You northerners canvassed for a religious and tribal president, and you got one in Tinubu. You must take responsibility for your choices. You are now threatening everyone like you are something from planet Pluto. In 2027, keep in mind that it is still the turn of the South to be president. With Tinubu as an incumbent, you have no way of getting him out for another 4 years. In fact, the SE may not contest the presidency then, because it makes little political sense in a thoroughly corrupt system as Nigeria. Take it from me. Tinubu will rig himself in in 2027 and you northerners cannot stop him. What the North colluded with Tinubu to do to Obi will be done to you in 2027.

The blame for what Nigerians experience today can be laid squarely on the head of the North. The INEC Chairman who rigged the electoral process is from the North. Nearly all the judges who delivered the fake judgement in favor of Tinubu are from the North. The North worked for a Muslim-Muslim ticket hoping to Islamize the system. And the North sat idly by while Buhari destroyed the country in the last 8 years. For these reasons and more, the North has no right to make any demands at this time. You must sit back, relax, and swallow your own poop. After 8 years you can resume your thing – further destruction of the country like Buhari did.

That being said, my utmost sympathy goes to the people of Plateau, Benue, and elements of Gombe, Southern Kaduna and other minorities in the North. You can be rest assured that you have zero blame in all of these, and that in fact you are in fact, victims of the North.

I noticed all the protest has been peaceful so far

I guess Igbos not protesting is the reason why terrorists havent been able to hijack the protest
