The stomach serves as a temporary storage for ingested food, allowing controlled release into the small intestine, and secretes digestive enzymes, among other essential functions.

An ulcer is a sore that forms on the surface of an organ or tissue, and it can occur in various parts of the body, including the skin, mouth, stomach, and intestines.

A stomach ulcer, also known as a gastric ulcer, develops on the inner lining of the stomach when the protective lining is compromised, allowing digestive acids to damage the stomach tissue. Some of the adverse effects of stomach ulcers include bleeding, the creation of a hole in the stomach lining, and the potential to block the movement of food through the digestive system
