I went to get stuff from a woman outside my estate this morning and she was telling me that yesterday a man was sharing half bags of rice at unilag and in the process some people died as they were struggling to get their own share.

This evening another woman shared the same story and it happened that I knew one of the men who died according to her description.

She Said the father of the man sharing the Rice shipped in a lot of bags to Nigeria to be shared but before the owner of the rice came the people he put in charge were selling the rice cheap to people who could afford it and when the owner came in the evening they quickly stopped selling on sighting him.

As they began to share the rice, a man was pushed down and trampled upon. Before they could get him up and rush to the hospital he died.

I heard today that a pastors daughter also died. Since it's seized goods they are sharing, are you sure those goods have not been cursed by the owners? Hm.

This so heartbreaking.

No such thing happened to him. Rather, as OP said, he died during a stampede. undecided

Yes, his country leaders killed him with their bad economy policy which has led an average Nigerians into hardship in the country. Also, the so called palliative would have been shared across the 20 LG of the state, instead of using only one or two spots. At least this would help decongest the crowd.

No such thing happened. That country has had a bad economy since I was a wee lad. So blaming the bad economy for this that happened many decades later is ridiculous. undecided

More people will still die for this country to move forward

All those poor people who collect N10000 or a bag of rice and vote in disaster will have to die if we need to move forward as a nation.

I don't just know what to say. I still find it hard to believe it's someone I know.

Another woman who was there said not only one person died that yesterday. That they were more than that.
