Brics has been touted as an organization that can counter Western domination, but so far i am yet to see any importance of brics
They plan to de-dollarize the global economy , it is a very good plan but they are yet to come up with alternatives, Brics countries trading with each other's currency is not a long term solution, it will be ditched sooner or later when economic issues kick in ...can the Chinese take necessary transparency measures and loosen regulations on yuan to make it more viable, will india want to ditch dollar in favour of yuan?

Brics New development bank is also not useful so far, china is by the largest economy in brics and has focused more on BRI instead of funding the NDB that was supposed to rival IMF

What about global geo-politics...i still dont see Brics providing a strong presence on global geo-politics, one of its members have invaded a sovereign country, China and India have border issues, India have anti-muslim sentiment and its media have supported Isreal while u have arabs in brics..
Egypt and ethiopia have small issues with the dam...

So far , what has been the unified Brics stance on Isreal-Gaza war or Ukraine war?
Compared to G7, the G7 countries have a great deal of cohesion
Recently, India shut down some media companies allegedly to have been funded by China...
The New Argentina president is not interested in Brics...
I am keen on seeing Brics succeed, but the must come up with solutions, especially regarding the dollar issue ..the must come up with an alternative financial model, anything other than that and it won't make much sense

ECOWAS allows free movement amongst member countries for citizens but that's about it for the common man. But you go still need money to travel Sef.

U dont get the point, alliance and organizations are formed to achieve strategic goals...
OPEC was formed to control the oil price, it has been very successful...
Lots of organizations have fulfilled their mandates and keep working towards new goals and solving challenges
BRICs has a strategic goal to counter the west, and one of their key aims is to de-dollarize the global economy, it is a very good thing to do.. i have not seen them achieving anything substantial yet....
