Amina's Life Story by danielinyang(m): 9:43pm On Feb 26
Thorns and obstacles is all I've seen life offered, life has been so unfair and tiring. I Amina a 25year old lady have experienced many things in life that was supposed to weigh an average individual down, but I never gave up, I am determined to achieve the future I promised my mom. My mom is my greatest motivation, I have always lived a life determined to make her proud.
When I graduated from the university I decided to venture into freelancing via Upwork and Fiverr, after several failed attempts of getting a writing gig I finally got one.

I did my best while writing for the client and he was impressed and promised to patronize me frequently. Just as he promised, I was given gigs frequently by this client and did the job diligently as tho my life depended on it. I spent only 50% of my income from the gigs on my basic needs and that of my mom then saved up the remaining 50% to buy a camera, I've always wanted to be a photographer right from childhood and my mom is fully aware of it.

Thing's were moving gradually until life dawned at me, I usually cry while telling this part of my story. My client ended the contract, saying it was never intentional and wasn't due to dissatisfaction with the jobs I had delivered.

After the occurrence, I started applying for more gigs but to no avail did my efforts amount. Three weeks had passed without earning a single penny, I was depressed and crying alone, one of my friends called and convinced me to accompany her to a conference, of course she agreed to foot the bills. On arriving the venue I was privilege to listen to a renowned artists in Nigeria who shared his life experience and encouraged us.

After the event I felt a relief within me and reflected on how I was able to secure a gig and earn for a while, considering the fact that some person's have been struggling to secure one for years. With the encouragement I received, I decided never to quit. This is my story and I, Amina, am determined not to give up, if I could do it before I can do it again.
