Do you know that, good solar panels that have cracked surfaces can still generate a lot of power??

This is proven fact. However the extent of damage can affect how much it generated, which can be significant or non existent.

There are a number of people who have tried this and found out that it is a very budget friendly way of going solar.

I have sold to a couple of people in the past, even shipped to different states outside lagos and for the prices, it was a good bargain.

Attached is one of the recent ones.

550w to ibadan, with even a broken bypass diode connection which was easily fixed.

Hello boss I want to get solar to power my two bedroom flat (3 fans, tv, console, lightning points and then table top fridge.)But I was told I can't use panels of over 180w with one 220ah because the volts won't match what will be the solution cos I feel rather than buy 3 180w panels I rather buy 2 300w plus I don't mind if I'm powering the fridge only during the day

Hi,

You only have limitations with bigger solar panels if your control is a PWM. If it's MPPT you are using you can use the 300w panels.

But for your system design as a whole, your panels total capacity is very limited for the load you intend to power. I'll advice atleast 4 units of that 300w. Ideally it should be about 6 units
