I just asked for the price of a bag of rice now and the seller told me it's now 85 thousand naira. As in...like play like play rice crossed the 80 thousand mark. This is so sad for us as a nation. How do we do it? One just need to do something about it.

I don't think there any. In those days when we were young, all those foreign rice used to be for special occasion like Easter and Christmas. In between we eat local rice from local means with plenty stones.

Gradually over the years, foreign rice started entering market through fàyàwó till we forget the local rice and get use to the stress free foreign rice.

Sadly, no local rice to fall back to as the price is as high as foreign
