Since the govt want NIN to be connected to bank accounts, I think BVN/NIN should be harmonized in such a way that you don't need to stress yourself at the bank replicating your data on different IDs.


For instance, there are some people that their BVN/NIN info don't tally; there are discrepancies.

I think once such person has done modification either on BVN/NIN, there should be way to request from the person if he/she wanted to synchronize his/her info based on the modification.. It's as simple as that.

Well I guess from one's NIN (phone no) they want to able to trace all his/her bank accounts. I'm not sure BVN currently does this.

I beg, is it either BVN or NIN or is it both BVN and NIN. I'm not clear on it at all.

My corporate account has been restricted. I think it has to do with this NIN /BVN issue. Though I had linked it to NIN before now. Its going to ground my operations this week.

I dont think a corporate account requires NIN. Its BVN I think.

It does, that is the signatories to the account. I was told to bring NIN, TIN and electric bills

I think you may be right but I thought any proper ID can replace a NIN such as your Passport. I did so and my corporate account is fine. Infact I just used it now.
