It is shameful that when smart Igbo people and reasonable people tell Nigerians truth, they term it HATE. Unfortunately these are people who really hate Igbos and really hate their country. How would one describe a situation where people accuse Igbos of wishing Nigeria bad because they try to open their eyes to truth? Igbos are wishing Nigeria evil and you are wishing Nigeria good, how come Nigeria is not getting better? Is it that God has rejeceted your own prayers?. When Igbos told Nigerians that Bauchi Oil reserve is a SCAM used to justify all the billions spent in search of non existing oil in the north, they were called names. The money spent in search of this non-existing oil would have lifted Nigerian economy. But Bihari and his gang of criminals chose to waste the fund. Till date, no oil anywhere. Dangote had to go to US for crude oil. What a shame of a nation. I thank Igbos and other reasonable Nigerians for being wise. APC is evil 21 Likes 3 Shares |

Thank you! No oil in the North except the oil is pumped from another region. But you should not have presented the post as a fight between Igbo and other tribes. Your post has a very good topic and would have merited front page if not the undeniable tribal sentiments in the post. I suggest this post should go to the front page, despite the tribalism in it. Maybe the poster should edit the post. We really need to discuss the "Oil in the North". 9 Likes |

There was soo much hype in this oil well and NNPCL money invested into drilling it. Mele Kyari and Buhari have questions to answer. I don’t know who convinced who. Billions of Naira were printed to achieve this Northern oil wells dream. Mynd44 Seun front page 33 Likes |

Given events in this country, the average Igbo man has shown himself to be the most patriotic Nigerian. Though some of them over do it, speaking up in the face of evil and when others condemn you for saying it as it is, is no mean feat. Until we all come together to join forces against bad leadership, those in position of power would continue to get away with subpar performances. 13 Likes |

The wisemen from the East needs to be involved so that Nigerians can see what they've lost not listening to these wise men repeatedly. All the presidents they rejected turned out to be monumental failures SoNature: 19 Likes 1 Share |

SpecialAdviser: I don't hate any tribe, nor do I particularly hate Igbos, but your comment had no proof about what you said.. However, a quick Google search...for the KOLMANI Oil field, gave us this The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025. SOURCE So, what is feasibility stage? During this phase, the oil field’s feasibility is assessed, the potential yield and costs are estimated, and detailed documents are created to guide investment decisions for stakeholders.. SOURCE SO 1.There is oil 2.It would start production in 2025 3. It is currently in the stage where the oil workers are estimating the yield and cost of production. (Before you call me an Igbo hater, and an APC stooge) 1.I don't support APC 2.I am not from the North. 3.Oil fields take a long time to discover. As we know, oil was discovered at Oloibiri in 1956, what we tend to forget was that it took at least 19 years before the first oil field was tapped. 19 years of no yield. 4. I don't think NIgeria should be looking for more oil. We should be looking for ways to maximise our manufacturing and industrial output and exporting same, as well as improving our tax uptake and income, and also controlling the illicit mining of minerals...so that we can eventually get more money, and be more developed, and crucially for me, forget about relying on oil 5.Having our income coming from oil at 80% is a national disgrace. 6. THE North has great potential to be an industrial and agricultural stronghold. That it is not is a disgrace. Likewise the SE has the potential to be an exporter of manufactured goods. That it isn't is a disgrace. Same for all the other regions of Nigeria. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Nyamiriflathed: Tinubu once said he didn't believe in nigeria. OPC at various times condemned the 'contraption' that is nigeria and was at one time the most violent ethnic militia in the country. Sunday Igboho is currently pushing for the dissolution of the entity that is Nigeria. Boko Haram was and is a menace to society. The rouge Fulani herdsmen pose an existential threat to nigeria today. Through the introduction of a stricter form of sharia, Yerima was ready to cause chaos in Nigeria. Various factions in the Niger-Delta once threatened to break away from Nigeria while fighting for resource control. So, your point is invalid because other state and non-state actors have also issued and used more violent means to fight the state. And like I stated, the 'average' Igbo man. So, there will always be persons who take things to extremes for personal gains or with ultruistic motives. Just as some Nigerians chose to praise buhari despite the obvious dangers and are today praising BAT despite the obvious dangers. |
