I am gainfully employed but I seriously need an option B.

I have some idle investments that is giving me cool cash monthly.

Recently, I considered getting a PhD to prepare myself for lecturing career in the future.

Alternatively, I have plans to set up a business and grow it with time.

I have been offered admission for my PhD. However, I am yet to decide on either going for the PhD or starting a business.

Please your advice is needed here.

you are not making cool money if you can't do BOTH conveniently

PHD is your future, so start it now, since you already claim to be making "cool money" ...........

Unless you are bored and you want to do business so you can be busy and engaged.

Thanks! Money is not a factor here but time. PhD is time consuming, therefore, I can't do both effectively.

If you have the capacity to grow your business...do ...then grow it to the point all you need is someone sending you reports... There are many Universities coming up in Nigeria so I can't say you shouldn't go for your PhD infact I think you should...just find a balance between both .. it's really a hard decision because your PhD could open other doors ...My advice is do both ...

Nigeria is not a place you put all your eggs in one basket... Except you are sure of a Job at a University.
