Looking at the gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Edo State, and the vituperations of some hitherto “ Tinubu rode to power on the altar of tribalism” apologists, you marvel at the level of hypocrisy in our political consciousness. This begs the question, is there truly a “detribalised” Nigerian?

It doesn't exist. The Ibos know this very well. The Edo knows this very well. The Fulani/Hausa/kanuri all know this very well. The SS knows this very well. A few of the Yorubas do not know this especially the youths. Most of them have never left the SW region so they think everywhere is hunky dory.
