Former First Lady of Ondo state, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has taken to social media to attack one of her in-laws, Funke Akeredolu Aruna, for showing support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the party primary.
Funke Aruna served as Deputy Chief Protocol to the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

She was fingered as one of those who leaked information about Akeredolu’s health.

The former First Lady called Funke “shameless” in a post she shared on her Instagram page.

She posted a picture of her husband’s niece wearing a cap with the inscription “I am lucky.”

In the post, Betty said: “Behold the face of Aketi’s niece, Funke Akeredolu Aruna, the former deputy chief protocol to Aketi, shamelessly parades as ‘I am lucky’ Bloody serpent! Time will tell if she is truly lucky!”

In life, everything you do has to be well thought of or very well calculated, a niece to Akeredolu shouldn't be seen this now, especially when she was part of Aketi's govt. Human beings are selfish in nature, I know the dead is gone already, but their should be this inner compassion for humanity in what we do, everything is not money or position.

Look at this useless Igbo woman with no shame. Is this the way Igbos are? Her husband was buried less than two weeks, she is suppose to be mourning her husband yet she had the moral audacity to be pouring invectives on her husband relative. O ga gan ooo, eyin Akeredolu's eku oro eyan.

Tell us exactly why you want Funke Akeredolu to hate the new governor?

Someone that’s still mourning.

It is very clear and obvious that this woman is more pained that she lost the position of a first lady than loosing her husband. Who is she to decide who and who her in-laws support? She even used the word "shameless", "bloody serpent" to describe Aketi's niece. A non-indigenous woman for that matter. Does she think everybody can be like her late husband whom she used to control anyhow?
