A lady has pushed back at her husband after he requested that she prepare some food for his parents who were coming over to visit.

In a video that was shared on Instagram, the young lady who had just given birth two days ago, was telling her partner reasons why she couldn’t prepare the food.

The husband who believes she could carry out the task better told her she has had enough rest already.

He also went on to complain about how he has been the only one doing all of the work in the house since she gave birth.

While the lady tried to put it to him that the hospital sent her home to rest, the young man answered her by saying he would take care of the child while she made the food.

However, the video sparked outrage online, as internet users trooped to the comment section to share their opinions regarding the husband’s demand and his wife’s response.

No visitors for a month after I give birth. They're more problematic than helpful.

For me we don't even tell people we've given birth until after the 1st week except her parents (as mine are late). The few visitors that do stay over when they come are the type that would be helpful. I have an Aunt who tries to support as my mother isn't available, when she comes or her mother comes it's actually a big relief for us. They cook, wash, bath the baby and offer what ever other assistance my wife needs.

In my culture mothers are invited to assist especially after the 1st birth. Her mother came from day 2 and spent at least a month (if not more) after her 1st birth. That my aunt was there too. During the 2nd birth her mother came around about 3 weeks later and spent only a week. That my aunt also came I think around week 2 and spent a week.

The guys mother coming around this time should be to come and help and not to stress the nursing mother who is already stressed and continuously being stressed by the baby. Some women develop serious Bp issues if they have to handle things alone. For one, some babies won't allow the mother sleep at night and someone would now expect her to be up and doing all through the day.
