If when she was alive and she went to seek help from the first lady, would she have gotten the needed help?

I don't know why help only comes when someone has died.

There are many more people in the same situation. Help should reach them too before they do the unthinkable.

Hypocritical sponsorship.

The hardship is not specific to the deceased, but the whole state, and by extension, the whole country.

Subsisting only the children of the deceased serve no purpose when most families are in the same situation. They don’t have to die before their hardship becomes visible to your eyes.

The poverty in the East come be like say e hard pass the one for Borno.

Some people kill their kid to eat while this woman chose to go to heaven rather than fend for her kid.

RIP to her.

It is lies like this that makes one wonder if some of u here are sensible.

Show us where a woman ate her child in Igbo land? and if its that unfounded one u guys brought from tweeter...May u continue to lie till eternity.

Things have gotten so bad that I begin to wonder what the president does with the huge amount of dollars Nigeria generate daily from crude oil sales.

Every state governor gets allocation monthly running into Billions... The amount has even doubled since subsidy removal.

The right question should be "What does my state governor do with the Billions he receives as allocation every month?".

Most state governors are the problem of this country right now.

Forget how Nairaland members from the East are hyping their region online daily. I live in Enugu and I tell you this, the hunger here pass the one in any part of this Country. Begers have taking over every part of this state. The price of food stuffs here is 5 times the amount of the same food stuffs in other region.

Transportation is even worst. From Abuja to Asaba is 14k but from Abuja to Onitsha is 25k. Asaba to Onitsha is less that 4 kilometers. Transportation fare in the East is the highest. Come and see as everyone dey trek for Enugu.
U sound like one of these Morons from Benue that will be 6 and rent a room in the remote area of Enugu and be using one keke turn by turn to get chikini money, d day is ur turn u go to a local bar looking for an unguarded innocent Igbo boy u will steal his wallet or fon... Cursed people tribe

For your edification, the Nigerian government doesn't really make financial gains from the sales of crude oil because APC via corruption has been sacrificing it for debt servicing. Therefore I doubt if we are getting any money from crude.

They will not mention name because they are not Igbo. Why are they finding it difficult to mention name of the children.

Very warped argument and so illogical. What is the correlation between asaba to Onitsha and Enugu? Relate Abuja to Onitsha and Abuja to Asaba to the Enugu incident. How many other parts of the country can you comparatively analyse or you are just typing because you have a phone and free data. May I suggest that you upscale your English. There is no English word like beger, except you are using the trade marked name - Berger.

How would the petrol dollars you generate daily change life when you have a population of over 220million. Even the victim in question has 3 children.

Shut up! Hardship is not an excuse to take one's life. This hardship would surely pass. This is not the first time as a nation we are facing hardship, and I can tell you when it passes it would not be the last.

For a mother to abandon her children and commit suicide.... It's not ordinary.
