So recently I wanted to change my phone from an iPhone 11 Pro Max I got last year because I was already tired of using the phone. So I asked a friend of mine who sells phones and he asked me to get a 14 Pro Max but when I hear price omor fear catch me oh.

My guy told me the 14 Pro Max is now 1.2million naira, I was beyond shocked, but since I wanted to change the phone I decided to still buy the phone. Lo and behold it’s being just over 4days since I got this iPhone and honestly I feel really really empty. There’s nothing special about this huge slab of Glass. Feels like a total waste of money to me.

Yes The Camera of the 14 pro max is superb, video quality is excellent but my old 11 Pro Max will still perform all the task this phone will perform.

My Question is this, fellow Nigerians using expensive iPhones what do you gain from it.

Was using a galaxy tab I bought 120k sometimes back, today its 410k.
Any body that buy the tab will be thinking he bought an expensive gadget but unfortunately the naira is the cause of the the high price.

the annoying thing is that people know the difference btw upgrades is always camera quality yet they rush to buy just to impress on people that they are using the latest.... this mad rush for iPhones is crazy I swear...
if u see the rave about iPhone here in SA among gen Z n their predecessors ehn..
infact I just think it's the camera quality the brand name....

People don't buy phone for spec. They think they do, I know. They buy it for ego.

Companies already know how insecure human beings are and create the environment to exploit it. That's why a phone has small blemish they won't buy because how will they prove to their friends they "belong" or are better. The thing they'll be fighting seller to sell at a loss they'll go back to their "friends" to claim they bought it even above market price. The day life will happen to you, you'll realise there's no friend amongst such people you're trying to impress, even if at all there's friend in this world sef.

Nothing really special tbh, I upgraded from 12pm to 14 pm cos the battery on the former has degraded .. got the 14 pm brand new ..
the battery is 1000% better same with the camera.. it also has new feature Dynamic Island, always on display which make it look really really beautiful.. is the upgrade worth it for me ? Oh yes,
Is it worth the price ? Hmm No.
Tbh I don’t regret buying it, no be all money person go dey invest abeg .. the purpose of me working is to be able to afford what I love…
